In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the official release, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Material

Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
